Dear Blog

Dear blog,

In an attempt to make you more user-friendly you have apparently chosen to rebel. Now all of our dear readers have nowhere to place their comments. This makes for agitated readers and a very angry blogger. Please stop being so mean Mr. Blog.

Yours truly,

I must say- you have really made me feel a lot more kindly towards cloth diapers! I honestly thought cloth diapers meant the old-school burp-rag thingies and I was NOT ok with that. But your diapers look....cool. and kind of fun. and I kind of wish I had a HE washer and hadn't bought three months ahead on disposables because I want to try them. maybe someday!

Trust me, we thought the same thing about cloth diapers before we did the research. The good news is that in some ways it's easier to wash cloth diapers in a regular washer, so don't be discouraged :)

Hey,
Thanks for the insight on the cloth diapers. I have considered it but haven't personally known anyone that has used them. We definately use LOTS of diapers around here. Maybe I will try a couple and be a little friendlier on the environment. Plus...they are just so stinkin cute!
I will have to check out the website.

Julie,

I am so excited that you are considering cloth diapers! You'll have to let us know what you think. We honestly can't imagine ever going back to disposables full-time. Good luck!

Hmmmm. I'm intrigued. I will check out that website. Since we may have babies in this house for years and years it would be nice to have something to save on all those disposable diapers. I'm just with Ashley, I thought cloth diapers were kind of yucky. Those look easy to use and really durable. Do they leak?

Connie,

I actually really think cloth diapers would be a very good investment for you with all of the little ones. It's nice because they are one size so you never have to worry about what size your baby is in, you just adjust them to fit. If you have Russ install the diaper sprayer (super easy!) it helps take the "ick" factor out. As for leaks, honestly yes we had 2 leaks in the first week, but I think that was user error because we never had it again. We used disposables on our vacation and had a blowout each day, where we may have one every week or so with cloth. Just be sure to use a cloth diaper friendly detergent otherwise it will repel and that is bad news! Let us know if you end up trying them! :)

xo,
Mal
